Notice This blog contains material known to the State of
California to be awesome.
Fixing That televisionarie:
you haven't updated your blog in
a week
Michael Wyszomierski: well i guess i should fix that Thursday, June 08, 2006 Ratatouille Summer 2007 from Pixar: Ratatouille. Check out the
trailer.
A mouse stealing food isn't exactly a new idea for the cartoon world, but I'm sure Pixar will make it amazing as usual. I plan on seeing Cars tonight after my sister's graduation. Congrats in advance, Julie. Check out the Cars soundtrack on iTunes. Name As a
Wyszomierski,
I am used to hearing some creative
pronunciations as well as seeing unique spellings of my last name.
Today, our tree service left an invoice (or maybe an estimate) for Wisnersky. I
could get used to that.
Sunday, June 04, 2006 MacPlumber The MacPlumber emailed me asking for a link to
his blog, which provides useful tips and info for Mac users. It looks good to
me, so here's
the link for all you Mac users out
there.
In other news, I'm importing the audio tracks from Sonic CD into my iTunes library. And yes, the tracks were already listed on CDDB. You kids know how that thing works? It looks at the length of the CD and then the lengths of the individual tracks to figure out what's in your computer. Pretty cool. Saturday, June 03, 2006 MS Office and PDF In tech news right now, Adobe
and Microsoft can't agree on how to offer PDF export in
Office and
Vista. Microsoft wants it to be a free
feature, while Adobe wants it to be a paid option. I'm not sure why this is the
case, but right now Mac users are stuck with having to choose from these options
in every application, including Office for
Mac:
![]() And somehow we manage to get by. Finally caught up with 2005 Yesterday I finally opened my last unread
Christmas card from 2005. Amazing what you find while cleaning your
desk.
This entry is kinda boring. I'm gonna get some sleep. Friday, June 02, 2006 New Podcast Episode It's been a while since I talked about my podcast
in the blog. I have a new episode out today, so take a listen if you'd like. I
used my TRV-900 instead of my iSight, so the quality should be a little better.
Now that I think about it I should have taken full advantage of the equipment
and worn my lav, but I'm not sure where it is right now as I'm in the middle of
cleaning out my room. Maybe next time, whenever that will
be.
If you need a link to the podcast feed, everything you need is on my podcast page. Remote I was watching TV last night and I couldn't find
the TiVo remote. I watched an entire episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation
with commercials.
As you would expect, I spent each commercial
break frantically ripping apart the couch, but I still didn't find the remote.
I'll have to ask my family about it at dinner.
What time is it? DVTime! (Studios) Ok so umm DVTime Studios is pretty
awesome. I'm not gonna say why I'm writing this, but yeah, they're
cool.
And full disclosure: they're my employer. Thursday, June 01, 2006 SightSpeed I use my iSight with iChat pretty often, and I
relied on it while I was in school to talk to my family since every year my room
was inevitably in a location with poor cell phone reception. But for some
reason, due to network configurations that I'm not willing to figure out, it
doesn't work for everyone. Usually I just talk to these people on Skype, but so
far that means no video chat for Mac
users.
Well, Evan has found a pretty cool solution: SightSpeed. It works with Mac and Windows, and 1-to-1 video chats are free. We tested it out and it works Mac-to-Mac, and Evan said it works just as well in a Mac-to-PC connection. So if you've been looking for an alternative, there you go. |
