Abstract:
You'd think by now they would have invented a hassle-free printer.

Body:
My printer happily accepted the $3.88 black ink cartridge. However, since I don't print pictures anymore, I figured there was no need to buy a color cartridge. When I went to print my DVD labels on the new paper I had just purchased, I learned that my printer refuses to print ANYTHING if it doesn't have both cartridges installed and filled with ink, even if I leave an empty color cartridge in and choose black ink only in the print settings.

Because of this, instead of getting a cool professional looking label, the library's copy of Foolproof is now labeled with my own handwriting. I wonder if that will increase its value someday.
