Tigers of the Amazon

Apparently Amazon is omnipotent.

I don't usually report Mac rumor material on this blog, but I want to say something about this "Amazon has secret info. and leaked the Tiger release date" thing. The first ship date was March 31, 2005, which was right in the middle of Apple's "first half of 2005" announced release date. All the sites reported this date, some skeptically, as the release date of Tiger. Amazon later pulled the product and release date from their site.

Today, MacMinute reported that Amazon has now posted Tiger with a release date of June 30th, 2005. Their headline is "Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger due on June 30, 2005?" I think someone should hand them a calendar and point out that June 30th is simply the last day of "first half of 2005," so Amazon is promising a date that they should be able to deliver.
