I really thought I could avoid having a Super Bowl entry

Abstract:
Ugh. Anyway I was rooting for the Patriots because Eagles fans are annoying drunks. Plus I have family in New Hampshire, which is one of the 15 states that shares the Patriots. Going to see a home game for them involves buying a plane ticket. I feel a little bad calling Philly fans "annoying drunks" in the abstract of an entry about one of my friends, but whatever, it's my blog and I'm awesome.

Body:
One of my friends, who is apparently determined to travel the world and then some before she turns 25, is doing the "Semester at Sea" program, where students live and take classes on a ship while traveling to different countries. Well, it didn't get off to a great start. They had rough seas from the beginning, heading out into the Pacific on their way to Asia. Like many of the students she got sick, and lots of students weren't even going to class. Then, to make things worse, they got hit by a huge wave.

Well, she's now "stranded" in Hawaii, and when I talked to her online tonight for the first time since all this craziness happened, she felt awful. Well, with all she went through, who could blame her? But it wasn't the sickness or the wave that she was the most upset about. She was crushed by the Eagles loss. I had to remind her that she had just been involved in a national news story before she would talk about it. Eagles fans are crazy.
