Today, Apple announced Friday, April 29th as the release date for Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger. John Gruber of Daring Fireball points out that Amazon has begun accepting pre-orders for the Family Pack version, so I can go ahead and take advantage of that $50 rebate. I'll appreciate the rebate especially since I'll have to pay an extra $10 to send the DVD disc back in and get a CD version for our iMac.

I also noticed a 10-client version on Amazon for $500. I don't remember them offering this for Panther. Perhaps they got it confused with the 10-client edition of Tiger Server.

Anyway, I'm off to order my copy. Just need to figure out which city to ship it to.
