If only I were tall and likable


Abstract:
Ted gets more free stuff.

Body:
Back in May of 2003, just after the third generation iPods were introduced, Ted went to the Apple Store King of Prussia for some music night thing. He ended up winning the door prize, which was a set of JBL speakers. Not some wimpy computer speakers— no, not for Ted. He won a pair of EON G2 speakers, complete with stands and a mixer. Paired with the 30 gig iPod he bought, he had an awesome system. He would let people use it around Vandy's campus for parties at no charge. This is something I will never understand. He could have made so much money. I suppose he is a better man than I.

Anyway, a few months ago, Ted was complaining that his free speakers would pop occasionally. I just found out today that after his father wrote to the company, JBL said that they wouldn't fix the speakers, but they would instead give Ted a free On Tour system and a set of Creature II's!

That's the last time anyone will make fun of Ted for buying a $500 portable music player. And now he has even more stuff I want.
