Capitalism
Abstract:
Random event of the day.
Body:
Yesterday, I was kicked out of my apartment at
7:30 AM so they could replace the windows. I couldn't return for six hours, so I
spent most of the day on campus. While eating lunch in the cafeteria, a girl
from a nearby table came up and asked me, "Can I have some of your napkins?" My
napkins? I didn't know that I had any claim to them just by sitting at that
table. I considered saying, "no," or even selling them to her, but it was
Election Day, a day when all Americans come together and share napkins without
need for monetary compensation.
Today,
however, is
not
Election Day, so I tried to sell a Scantron sheet for 5 bucks at my psych exam.
Nobody bought it.
