5 Months

Abstract:
Delayed correspondence.

Body:
I just received a reply to an email I sent five months ago to the creator of MacOSaiX, a photo-mosaic creation application. It's an amazing (and free) program, so check it out if you have a chance. I just downloaded the latest development version, and while obviously not a final release, it shows much improvement over the old version.

The coolest new feature (besides the much-improved image quality) is the ability to use frames from a QuickTime movie as the source images. You could do this in the old version in a roundabout way if you had QuickTime Pro or other software that allowed you to export an image sequence, but this version of MacOSaiX does it for you! I'll definitely use this feature for the DVD cover of my film project.

I'll probably be posting some of my mosaics later. Mac developers are awesome. If anyone knows of another good OS X app I should try out, let me know.

I haven't replied to the email yet. I think I'll wait five months and then send a one-word "Thanks!"
