Abstract:
How to filter out any customers before they enter the store.

Body:
Seth Godin would love this. I was on Hilton Head Island the other day and saw this printed sign in a clothing store window in Shelter Cove:

NO FOOD
NO DRINKS
NO STROLLERS

You'd think that would be enough, but apparently some potential customers were still getting through the door, because written in black marker above those three restrictions was:

NO GUM

I think the sign was working. The store was empty.
