Cool stuff from Apple

Apple introduced a bunch of cool stuff today, including video-capable iPods, iTunes 6 with videos you can purchase from the iTunes Music Store, and a new iMac with built-in iSight and a remote control.

Please note that you need to upgrade to QuickTime 7.0.3 in order to view the videos, including previews. The first video offerings are T.V. shows from ABC/Disney and shorts from Pixar, all just $1.99 each. One of the first shows available on the store is Season 2 of "Lost." Out of the Pixar shorts, my favorite is Geri's Game, which I first saw on a DVD of one of Pixar's feature films. It won an Oscar in 1998 for Best Animated Short.

Another new feature of the Music Store is the ability to give specific songs, albums, or playlists as gifts, rather than a monetary amount.
