Passerby: What's with the phone?
Me: Hello.
Passerby: Whoa, there's someone there! That's weird.
Me: Yep.
Passerby: But seriously, what's the deal with the phone?
Me: It's just a way for me to stay connected with the residents of McCoy.
Passerby: Okay, I'm going to go now.
