Wysz's Casual Suggestions
They're
not words of wisdom, they
aren't rules, and a lot of them aren't serious. However, please
consider the following:
- Be nice to everyone. If this is not possible, be nice to women
- If you see two parallel white lines running across the road,
don't speed
- Don't drive with your door open
- Always keep the following items in your vehicle:
-Heavy duty black Maglite Flashlight
-ABC fire extinguisher
-First aid kit
-Phone charger
-Camera
-Black raincoat and/or umbrella
-Auto-escape hammer/seatbelt cutter
-US coins
-Pens
-Ice scraper
-Dial or Purell hand-sanitizer (no water necessary)
-Ray-Ban sunglasses
-Cool blue flashy thingy*
-Battery-powered blacklight with car adapter and suction cups**
-CD's
*Do not operate inside vehicle, use
to get attention outside in
dark conditions
**Do not operate on public roads
- Always have the following items on your person:
-Wallet (ID, money, credit/atm cards, gift cards, tip table, Swiss
Card, etc.)
-Palm organizer
-Phone
-Swiss Army knife
-Leatherman
-Keys to vehicle, current residences, workplace, and computer
-Small flashlight
-Matches or lighter
-Speedpass
-Small cool blue light thingy
-Listerine PocketPacks
-ChapStick
-At least 75¢ in coins
- Back-up important data
- Always use positive away messages
- Don't steal my jokes
- Don't be afraid to make a fool of yourself
- Look in the mirror before you go out
- When being introduced to people, focus on names
- Get to know anyone with authority (Bosses, professors, police
officers)
- Spend the extra money and take the Acela
- Go home a lot
- Sleep in
- Stay up late
- If you think you might forget, write it down
- Always bring a pen and notebook to class, but the only class-related notes you need to record are funny quotes. The rest of your note-taking should be on anything you think of during class—script revisions, your Christmas list, additions to the "Casual Suggestions" page of your website... whatever.
