Vacations are one of the few times I&#8217;m surrounded by non-Googlers, and I was asked several times by my parents&#8217; friends what my day at work is like.<\/p>\n<p>Well, while not totally representative of an average day, here&#8217;s what I did on my last day of work before my vacation:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Worked with <a href=\"http:\/\/shalbert.blogspot.com\/2009\/03\/flickr.html\">Albert<\/a> to figure out how to take portraits of team members, because our manager thought it would be fun.<\/li>\n<li>Did some work for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/GoogleWebmasterHelp\">Webmaster Central YouTube Channel<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Went over to Charlie&#8217;s (a Google caf\u00e9) for some potstickers and David&#8217;s bacon fried rice.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/Wysz\/status\/1356290038\">Sampled food<\/a> from a variety of vendors hoping to get our votes to stock their products in our microkitchens.<\/li>\n<li>Spent the afternoon racing members of my team at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gokartracer.com\/\">Gokart Racer<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I recently went on vacation in Telluride, Colorado.
